synk is a social media app where users are shown feeds from instagram, tiktok, facebook, twitter, reddit, etc. all in one convenient place, giving users one centralized explorer page. as for the community itself, it is set in five major cities: san diego, toronto, dublin, seoul, and sydney.

it should also be known that synk is known for hosting community events both locally and globally. during global events synk offers all inclusive trips to users who enter into chances to win drawings. aka we will be using rp magic to say all members were the winners. these trips include airfare to the host city, hotel rooms, and entrance to events.

setting up
when setting up, we ask for the following:
  • an ic or ooc username with no excessive missing letters and no numbers.
  • 100 word bio or facts, along with the basics (name, age, occupation).
  • both a friends only post and a screened post.
    • getting started
    once you've been added, you have 72 hours to post either a tradtional introduction to tdb or post a social media post to scroller. just make sure to respond to at least half of your comments within 48 hours or your introduction will not be counted as complete and you could be removed.
    activity
    activity at synk is done a little different than normal update requirements. in order to be marked off as complete by the end of the month members must do the following:
    1. post one character development update in their journal. this can be a narrative, moodboard, etc. anything that gives us insight into your character.
    2. post two social media posts in scroller with comments enabled and at least half of them responded to. these posts can be instagram posts, tikoks, tweets, etc. as scroller is considered explorer page for all social media posts made by members.
    3. all posts must be turned into the activity dropbox.
    dating app
    another offer synk has for it's users is a platform called liker. users can opt into this, but are by no means required to join that part of the app.
